Sparkling Wine: 2015 | Marchese Antinori Montenisa | Contessa Maggi
Brilliant golden yellow in colour, it has a creamy foam with a fine and persistent perlage. Intense and delicate on the nose, it recalls fresh flowers and citrus hints of grapefruit and orange peel that also meet white-fleshed fruits. Perfectly balanced on the palate, it is crunchy and precise, with great balance in the sweeter notes and very fresh before a creamy and persistent finish.

Producer Information
Marchese Antinori Montenisa was established in 1999 in the heart of Franciacorta, around Borgo di Calino to the south of Lake Iseo. Here the vineyards surrounding the villa owned by the Maggi family represent the beating heart of Marchese Antinori’s production. Varieties that are traditionally best suited to the production of Franciacorta wines are grown on the estate: Chardonnay, with its typical aroma rich in floral and fruity notes, Pinot Noir, which gives structure and personality, and Pinot Blanc, zesty and mineral. The estate’s historic vineyards are located on the hill of S. Stefano, and their fine, intensely perfumed grapes give the wine complexity and balance. The most recently planted vineyards, surrounded by walls and known locally as a ‘brolo’, produce great grapes for a great wine.
